UPDATE - Technical briefing on the situation with regard to hantavirus

May 8, 2026, Ottawa, Ontario — Officials from the Public Health Agency of Canada will provide details about the Andes Hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius and actions taken by the Government of Canada. Representatives from Global Affairs Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency will be present to address questions related to consular and border considerations.
