When to submit?

You must submit your information within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada—but you can start right away.

What to do with my submission?

Once completed, you will get a receipt in ArriveCAN and by email. Show it to your airline carrier and to a Canadian border services officer when you enter.

What do I need to do upon my return?

Unless you’re exempt from the requirement to quarantine, use ArriveCAN to check-in within 48 hours to confirm that you arrived at your place of quarantine or isolation. You’ll also need to complete a daily COVID-19 symptom self-assessment.

What if I don’t use ArriveCAN?

You:

  • won’t be eligible for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption
  • may face additional delays at the border for public health questioning
  • may be subject to fines or enforcement action
