Introduction: Directory of Services for Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse 2009
This is the fifth update of: the Directory of Services for Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse. It is one of a series of directories prepared by the National Clearinghouse on Family Violence under the federal Family Violence Initiative.
This updated directory provides a current listing of 488 programs that address the needs of adult survivors of child sexual abuse. The services are listed by province/territory from the east to west coast and, within each province/territory, alphabetically by town or city.
The organizations in this directory provide services and programs for adult survivors of child sexual abuse, ranging from group and individual counselling to crisis intervention and individual advocacy. Each listing identifies whether services are available for women, men and/or children, if there is a fee for services, and whether these services are available in English and in French.
The contact information provided in each listing may include: street or mailing address; administrative telephone number; crisis telephone number; facsimile number; e-mail address; and Web Site. Some listings also include a toll free number, which is generally accessible only within the local calling area. However, the toll free numbers for the National Clearinghouse on Family Violence can be used across Canada.
If you are aware of any changes or additions that should be made to these listings, please let us know.
