In Canada, during week 21, one new case of measles was reported by Ontario.
A total of 195 cases of measles, and 0 cases of rubella have been reported in Canada for 2015.

During epidemiological week 21, 2015, one new case of measles was reported by Ontario, with rash onset during week 19. This case has no history of travel, and no known source of exposure.

The year-to-date total is 195 cases of measles and 0 case of rubella for 2015.

Laboratory Summary

Measles

To date in 2015, 55 measles cases have been genotyped and the genotypes were: B3 (n=22), D4 (n=17), H1 (n=11) and D8 (n=5).

One case of measles reported by Ontario with rash onset in week 19 was genotype D8.
