The Public Service Commission (PSC) of Canada is responsible for administering and overseeing the provisions of the Public Service Employment Act regarding priority entitlements and monitoring staffing practices in relation to the legislative framework for priorities. Currently, the PSC, in partnership with EKOS Research Associates, is conducting a brief survey of the Priority Administration (PA) Program. EKOS is responsible for the collection and analysis of the data received. Individual feedback and personal information will remain confidential, in accordance with the Government of Canada Privacy Act.

Within the next few days, a number of hiring managers, human resources (HR) advisors and assistants and priority persons will be receiving an e-mail from EKOS inviting them to participate in the survey of the PA program. If you or your staff receive an invitation, we encourage you to fill out the survey in order to obtain representative results. There will also be a link to the survey on the Priority Information Management System (PIMS) during the last two weeks of November. The survey will help to:

  1. Improve the program to benefit current and future priority persons, hiring managers who source candidates from the priority inventory and HR advisors and assistants who use PIMS; and
  2. Provide valuable results and focused information on PA to help the PSC improve it and strengthen the program’s performance reporting.

If you do not receive the survey but still wish to fill it out, you will be able to do so by registering through PIMS.

If you have any questions on this matter, please contact Chantal Larocque, Program Evaluation Manager at the PSC at 613-995-6360 or by e-mail at chantal.larocque@cfp-psc.gc.ca.

Your participation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
