This tax-filing season, many important changes and improvements were made to services, benefits, and credits for Canadians.
Don’t get scammed! Beware of fraudsters claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency
As a taxpayer, you should be cautious if you receive any communication that claims to be from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and requests personal information such as a social insurance number (SIN), credit card number, bank account number, or passport number.
Did you donate to a charity? You may be able to claim a charitable donation tax credit
Did you donate to a registered Canadian charity or other qualified donee that gives official donation receipts? You may be eligible for a charitable donation tax credit that reduces your taxes owing.
