Individuals: You can get your benefit payments through direct deposit and pay your taxes online

Did you know?

In the event of a postal disruption at Canada Post, you can get your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) benefit payments through direct deposit and pay your taxes online. It’s faster, easier, and cheaper than dealing with cheques, especially if you’re getting or making more than one payment a year.

Even if a postal disruption occurs, you are still required to make every effort to submit your payments on time to the CRA. There are many alternate payment options that allow you to send a payment to the CRA online. To learn more about ways to pay the CRA, go to cra.gc.ca/payments.
