New digital filing option for the T3010 return

Registered charities or their authorized representatives can now file their T3010 information return digitally using CRA-certified software. This new option allows you to generate your charity’s return using a software and submit it through your CRA account.

We are transitioning to a more accessible and digital-by-default environment, in line with the Government of Canada’s Digital Standards. We strongly encourage you to use our online services, as they will help you avoid delays, possibilities of errors, and the risk of the information return getting lost. If you must file your return on paper, print and mail it to the CRA.

Using CRA-certified software helps avoid mail delays, is secure, and fast! Once submitted, your return is instantly processed, and you will receive immediate confirmation through your CRA account. The public portion of your financial information will be available on the List of charities the next day.

How to get started

  1. Use our list of CRA-certified software – The software listed below can generate all the forms contained in a registered charity information return.
  2. Access your CRA account – We’ve made sign-in easier! You, your employee, or your authorized representative can use a single login to access all our online services:
    • My Business Account (MyBA)
    • Represent a client (RaC)
    • My Account
  3. Submit through your CRA My Business Account or Represent a Client – Upload and submit your software-generated return directly online.
