What is the Clean Electricity ITC
The Clean Electricity ITC is a refundable tax credit that encourages qualifying entities to invest capital in deploying clean electricity property in Canada. This property includes certain electricity generation, storage, and transmission infrastructure.
Generally the Clean Electricity ITC rate is 15% of the capital cost of eligible property that is acquired from April 16, 2024, and that becomes available for use on or before December 31, 2034.
