Through a financial institution – File your GST/HST return
You can file your return electronically and pay any amounts owing at the same time through a participating Canadian bank or credit union. The institution transmits the return in a standard format to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) through a system called GST/HST Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Possible fee
Some financial institutions may charge a fee for this service.
Filing in person at a financial institution
In some circumstances, it is possible to file a paper return through a participating Canadian financial institution. However, unless you are a charity, selected listed financial institution, or you have an exemption, you are required to file electronically.
Refer to: File a paper return in person at a financial institution

- File a combined Form RC7200, GST/HST and QST return for selected listed financial institutions
- File a simplified GST/HST return for a non-resident digital-economy business
- File Form GST106, Information on Claims Paid or Credited for Foreign Conventions

File electronically and send forms by mail
If you want to file your return through your financial institution but need to file an additional form or rebate claim, you can include the amount on your electronic return and mail the form to the applicable tax centre.
Make sure the tax centre receives the form on or before the due date of your return.
If you cannot file electronically through your financial institution
Choose another filing method that works for you.
