Clients selected for review

If the income tax and benefit return of one or more of your clients is selected for review, it does not reflect on you as the tax preparer. For more information, go to How tax returns are selected for review.

If we send you a letter asking for information to support a claim made by one of your clients, it is important to respond by the date mentioned in the letter. For more information, go to Responding to us.                                    

Special Assessments Program

If the return of one or more of your clients is selected for review by the Special Assessments Program, our request for information will be sent directly to your client. For more information, go to Special Assessments Program.
