Age amount – Personal income tax

You may be able to claim the age amount to reduce the amount of income tax you owe.

Generally, you can claim the age amount if you meet all of the following conditions:

Transferring the age amount

You may be able to transfer all or part of your age amount to your spouse or common-law partner. You may also be able to claim all or part of their age amount. For more information, see Line 32600 – Amounts transferred from your spouse or common-law partner.
