What's new for Ontario for 2018?

Form ON428, Ontario Tax, is used to calculate your provincial tax.

Form ON479, Ontario Credits, is used to calculate your refundable credits.

Form ON-BEN, Application for the 2019 Ontario trillium benefit and Ontario senior homeowners' property tax grant, is used to apply for the Ontario energy and property tax credit, the Northern Ontario energy credit, and the Ontario senior homeowners' property tax grant.

Tax rates for 2018

  • 5.05% on the first $42,960 of taxable income, plus
  • 9.15% on the portion of taxable income that is more than $42,960 but not more than $85,923, plus
  • 11.16% on the portion of taxable income that is more than $85,923 but not more than $150,000 plus
  • 12.16% on the portion of taxable income that is more than $150,000 but not more than $220,000, plus
  • 13.16% on taxable income over $220,000.
