Call to action: Canadian Industry for Ukraine
Support the Ukrainian relief effort
The Government of Canada is making an appeal to Canadian businesses interested in providing support to displaced Ukrainians arriving in Canada.
Canada strongly condemns the unprovoked and unjustifiable actions taken by Vladimir Putin against Ukraine and its people. Canada remains a steadfast ally of the Ukrainian state and people, stands in solidarity with them, and supports Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.
The Government of Canada is making an appeal to Canadian businesses interested in providing support to displaced Ukrainians arriving in Canada. Canada has partnered with the Canadian Immigrant Settlement Sector Alliance – Alliance canadienne du secteur de l’établissement des immigrants (CISSA-ACSEI) and its national network of settlement organizations to provide direct and critical support to those in need. Donations from Canadian businesses will go to Ukrainians and other displaced persons making Canada their home.
The priorities, at this time, for large-scale donations are:
- financial aid
- temporary housing
- gift cards for the purchase of groceries, home and personal care essentials, child and baby items (including school supplies), and health and fitness
- laptops, tablets, cellphones, SIM cards or gift cards for these items
- medical supplies
As the situation evolves, priorities may change, so please check this site regularly for updates.
We and our partner organizations are grateful for the outpouring of assistance. However, in anticipation of the large number of submissions that we may receive, we will need to prioritize our follow-up with those offers that best meet current needs.
We are incredibly grateful to those businesses that have already come forward, and we welcome others to put up their hand to help out.
If you own a business or run an organization in Canada and are interested in participating in this humanitarian effort, please visit the “How can I help?” page for more information about how you can help.
