Events program

For the first time in recent history, the Government of Canada, will host a Canada Pavilion at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27). The Canada Pavilion at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt provides a unique opportunity to profile the diversity of Canadian actions and perspectives on climate change. The Canada Pavilion will:

Ambition

Highlight Canada’s ambitious climate commitments, feature Canada’s innovation in clean tech and energy spaces and leverage Canada’s international leadership on climate finance to drive further climate ambition in developing countries.

Implementation

Demonstrate Canada’s commitment to implementation through concrete actions and highlight the synergies between Canada’s actions to address climate change and its actions to address biodiversity loss through nature-based solutions.

Partnership

Showcase Canada’s whole-of-society approach to climate action and implementation through the inclusion of a diversity of voices, interests, and perspectives, such as those of Indigenous peoples, provinces and territories, municipalities, civil society, youth, business, academia, foreign governments, and international organizations.

Canada Pavilion events program

The Canada Pavilion events program reflects the dynamism and breadth of Canada's climate action at all levels of society, domestically and internationally. 

The Egyptian Presidency has selected thematic days to highlight critical areas for climate action and collaboration. Events taking place at the Canada Pavilion will reflect Canada's ambitious and inclusive approach to the themes chosen by the Egyptian Presidency. They will aim to resonate with a broad COP27 audience and ensure that diverse voices are reflected in the events program.

ECCC has engaged GLOBE Series and The Delphi Group as the Event Management Team to manage the Canada Pavilion events program at COP27. GLOBE's experience in executing large-scale sustainability conferences and Delphi's expertise as a pioneer in climate and sustainability consultation will ensure that Canada effectively showcases its diverse climate leadership on the world stage.
