[Text on screen: What we do matters!]
Narrator:
Welcome to SSC.
[Text on screen: Modern, secure, and reliable..]
We’re building a modern, secure and reliable platform
for the digital delivery of programs
and services to Canadians.
[Zoé Girard Close up]
Zoé Girard:
I enjoy the fact that there’s always
something to learn, and we work in an environment where we can
learn something new every day.
We support all of the government departments at
Shared Services Canada and occasionally we get the
opportunity to see what our work does.
What we do matters.
Narrator:
But we are so much more than that.

Every time Canadians cross the border, check the weather or
apply for key benefits
SSC is there working hard behind the scenes.
[Pankaj Sehgal Close Up]
Pankaj Sehgal:
We impact the lives of other government departments
and the lives of Canadians and of Canadian businesses through
assisting the programs that all of government delivers.
What we do matters.

Narrator:
As a service provider, responding to the IT
needs of our customers with excellence is Job One.
[José Gendron Close Up]
José Gendron:
We work to provide services for Canadians and we know that
in a digital age, everything depends on technology,
on our ability to allow information to travel.
And every day, we help get the right information
to the right people so they can make the best decisions
and provide Canadians with the right services.
What we do matters.

That makes the many faces of SSC our biggest strength.
[John A. Glowacki Jr. Close Up]
John A. Glowacki Jr.:
SSC and cybersecurity is quite amazing
and unique in the world
we’re actually a bit of the envy of some other countries
because of the nature of security we have around the
government that most other countries don’t have
the speed,
the ability to recognize the threat
and then quickly mitigate it.
That ability is rather unique.
What we do matters.

[Jean-François Lalonde Close Up]
Jean-François Lalonde:
Every day is a different day.
You can’t predict from one day to the next what’s going to be
facing you. The viruses that are infiltrating the Government of
Canada and our firefighters that are going out to fight them
there’s just an endless amount of permutations and combinations
of work, and I think that’s extremely exciting.
What we do matters.

Narrator:
We are the face of SSC.
[Jeffrey Stark Close Up]
Jeffrey Stark:
It’s really the fact that we have ethics and that we require
a certain level of inclusion.
And also, for me, one pretty important thing is that my
disability isn’t seen in a negative light and my manager
supports me and values my contributions.
What we do matters.

Narrator:
We are enabling the Government of Canada’s IT infrastructure
and what we do matters.
[Ron Parker Close Up]
Ron Parker:
Every day is different, and there’s different issues and
problems to solve, but at the same time knowing that you’re
coming to work and it’s another day to move the organization
ahead and forward and to grow it, and the opportunity is what
you make of it. You have the chance to have a very, varied
career but at the same time make a real contribution to the
development of Canada and its policies, service delivery,
supporting those that are on the frontline.
What we do matters.

What we do matters.
It matters to our customers.
It matters to Canadians, and it matters to us.
