Investigation report: October 2019 girding and sinking of a tug in Williamsons Landing, British Columbia

Richmond, British Columbia, 29 May 2020 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (M19P0246) into the 1 October 2019 girding and sinking of the tug Sheena M, while towing the barge Seaspan 566, in Williamsons Landing, British Columbia.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
