The TBS Policy and Program Analyst Post-Secondary Recruitment Campaign aims to recruit leaders and exceptional communicators, including Indigenous persons in particular, into entry-level analyst positions within TBS, while also building a pool of qualified candidates for future analyst positions.
Graduates hired as analysts will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a wide variety of challenging and interesting areas that have an impact on Canadians from coast to coast to coast. This could include conducting policy and program analyses, performing research, and providing advice directly to senior decision makers. Recruits will have the opportunity to be exposed to a rich variety of work experiences as they build their skills and develop their careers.

We are looking for qualified graduates, including Indigenous persons in particular, with talent, innovative ideas and passion to provide policy and program analysis, perform research, and provide recommendations on priority public policy issues, for entry-level analyst positions at the heart of the federal government.

Supporting evidence of leadership and initiative could include receipt of recognition through awards, prizes, or other public acknowledgement for non-academic contributions. Please demonstrate how you meet the leadership criterion by providing concrete examples including how, when and where you obtained your experience.

Who is eligible?
You are eligible to apply for the TBS Policy and Program Analyst Post-Secondary Recruitment Campaign if you are Canadian resident or a Canadian citizen residing abroad who has, or will have completed by , a Juris Doctor or a Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following fields, as well as a specialization in economics, sociology, statistics or public policy:
- International relations or International studies
- Public policy or Public administration
- Business administration
- Indigenous or similar studies
Applicants must have also demonstrated leadership by taking on active roles in their communities. As part of your application, you must describe how you have demonstrated leadership; what the impact was and what results were achieved.
- Voluntary service to, or leadership in, a community (e.g., student government, contributions in the voluntary or not-for-profit sector);
- Personal accomplishment or initiative (e.g., high-level sporting or cultural achievement, founding a business or other organization);
- Notable accomplishments through full-time or part-time paid employment during studies;
- Helped and inspired others to overcome adversity;
- Services to, or leadership in Indigenous governance or community development.
