Government of Canada to host a groundbreaking ceremony to launch the construction of the National Monument to Canada’s Mission in Afghanistan

Ottawa, ON – The Honourable Jill McKnight, Minister Veteran Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, alongside the Honourable Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Public Safety and the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages, will be joined by key stakeholders, Veterans, and local students to officially launch the construction phase of the National Monument to Canada’s Mission in Afghanistan.
There will be photo opportunities during and after the groundbreaking and interview opportunities with Minister McKnight and other dignitaries following the ceremony.
