Essential qualifications

Education

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience

• Recent* experience in a technical Server Administrator Support role in a Microsoft Windows Server 2016 (or later versions) environment, including but not limited to physical servers as well as virtual servers in an environment using VMware.

• Recent* experience in a technical Network Administrator Support role including but not limited to network switches, wireless access points, and routers.

• Experience** in a technical IT Security Support role including but not limited to 2nd level support ticket management and triage, system patching (security and feature patching), process scripting in PowerShell or other common scripting tools.

*Recent is defined as having acquired three (3) or more years of experience within the last five (5) years.
**Experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities, which could normally be acquired over a period of one (1) year.

Operational Requirements:

• Ability to be physically present at OAG sites when needed for infrastructure work is a requirement.
• Overtime and after-hours work may occasionally be necessary.
• Travel within Canada may also be required on an exceptional basis.
