The OAG hires students year-round—whether in regular or co-op programs—for part-time and full-time roles in fields like finance, human resources, information technology, and more, including through the Government of Canada’s Federal Student Work Experience Program.

To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in full-time or part-time studies.

Financial audit summer student work term

A financial audit summer student position at the OAG offers university students valuable Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) recognized experience, working alongside professionals to build skills that support both their studies and CPA certification.


To qualify, you must be:


  • in a full-time undergraduate accounting program at a recognized university
  • returning to full-time studies after the summer work term
  • intending to pursue or currently pursuing CPA designation

Performance audit students enrolled in a master’s degree program

The OAG hires students enrolled in master’s programs in fields like public administration, environmental science, law, and engineering in our performance audit program, offering early career experience based on current recruitment needs.

University recruitment

Each year, we recruit recent and soon-to-be graduates from many different fields from universities across Canada.

Financial audit trainee program

Financial audit trainees at the OAG complete all CPA experience requirements during their 3-year term and receive support including a CPA mentor, coaching, paid tuition, study days, and exam fees.
