The Auditor General of Canada will deliver 3 performance audit reports to the House of Commons on Monday, March 23, 2026

Ottawa, March 12, 2026—On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Auditor General of Canada, Karen Hogan, will deliver 3 performance audit reports to the House of Commons. Tabling in Parliament is expected at approximately 11:00 am Eastern Time (ET). Descriptions of the reports are provided below.

 

Access to embargoed electronic reports
9:00 am ET

The following reports will be included in this release:
 

International Student Program Reforms. This audit focuses on whether Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada was effectively implementing reforms to the International Student Program.

Recruiting for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This audit focuses on whether the Royal Canadian Mounted Police recruited and posted new regular members in a timely and effective way to meet operational requirements.

Modernizing the Pay System. This audit focuses on whether the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and Public Services and Procurement Canada were managing the Human Resources and Pay Transformation Project so they can ensure that federal public servants’ pay transactions will be accurate and on time and that the project will provide value for money once implemented. Specifically, the audit looks at how the departments were modernizing the pay system in the early stages of this project.
