Education

  • Masters or graduate degree from a recognized post‑secondary institution, with a specialisation relevant to the position (fields such as Public/Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Sciences, Engineering, Law, Data Analytics, Economics, or Social Sciences).

  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post‑secondary institution and a recognized Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Experience

  • EX1:  A minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years in leading the planning, execution and reporting phases of the conduct of audits (financial statements, special examinations, performance audits or internal audits), program evaluations or evaluations of complex* projects.

  • EX2:  A minimum of five (5) consecutive years of experience in an executive position (EX‑01 or equivalent or above) within the last ten (10) years.

  • EX3:  A minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing human and financial resources**

* "Complex" would include two or more of the following characteristics: high profile or reputational risk (e.g. public or media attention), large scale, involving multiple interested parties, multi‑jurisdictional (e.g. federal‑provincial/territorial), complex legal or regulatory environments, interdependencies between components, or other factors that the candidate can demonstrate constitute complex.

** Management of human and financial resources: For each relevant position they held, applicants must indicate the number of staff they supervised directly and indirectly, the size of the budget they were accountable for, and how many annual performance management and budget cycle they completed.
