Elizabeth has always been a part of my life. As a child, I loved reading about her and Margaret Rose, the two little princesses. I woke early in the morning to listen to the radio broadcast of Elizabeth's wedding and her coronation ceremony, and was thrilled to see her and Prince Philip when they came to Montreal in 1951. She was a remarkable woman and an exemplary monarch. My condolences to the extended royal family in their loss.

In 1952 when the Queen was in Ottawa, my mother was holding her 23 month old baby in her arms. ( me!). She told me the Queen was glancing around the crowd and her eyes rested on me. She had a little one at home just slightly younger ( Anne) and maybe I made her think of her far away. A mother and a working mother too! Rest In Peace!

I am so saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth, but glad that she lived a long life and was able to be able to enjoy Jubilee events as she was able. My mom was a fan of the Queen; we had requested a 60th wedding letter for my parents in 2013 (yr of her Cornonation). As mom was dying in Hospice, a month before her anniversary date, she kept asking "Has the Queen come yet??"
My most sincere condolences to all family

Reposé en paix Majesté,vous êtes et serrez a jamais gravé dans nos mémoires
Thank you for your 70 years of service to your country. You lived a life of service longer than anyone. My devoted mother lived long enough to get her 100 year old letter from the Queen and the family was proud of that. I'm sure she's waiting to say hello.

My deepest sympathies to the Royal family. She was the pinnacle of grace.
My dad once guarded our Queen as a mountie, and our family would listen to her Christmas messages. Her service, steadfastness, and fortitude is a true inspiration, and her passing marks the end of era. I'm touched to read comments calling her the Queen Mum - having lost a mum, I felt a little of the same pangs knowing a constant comfort has left us. xo
Forever in my heart. God save the Queen!
J'aimerais offrir mes plus sincères condoléances aux enfants de Sa Majesté ainsi qu'aux petits-enfants.

Condolences to the Royal family on the loss of The Queen... she was the monarch of the UK, she was also a Mother, Grandmother, friend. She will be remembered for her years of service as The Queen. Most people only knew her as Queen. What an accomplishment to serve 70 years, she meet with the new Prime Minister only two days before her death, she worked till the end. May she Rest In Peace as she is reunited with her later husband.
