    • have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of participation
    • complete the Licensing, Consent and Waiver form and accept all of the terms and conditions
    • submit a video that complies with the applicable Terms of Use

All persons employed by Canadian Heritage, VIA Rail, a third party mandated for the Contest or any partner involved, as well as members of their immediate family and persons domiciled with them, are not eligible to win a prize, but may submit a video.

The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

    4. How to participate

    To participate, individuals must

    • go in person to one of the official video booths temporarily installed in various locations across Canada, or visit the campaign website during online participation periods
    • complete and submit the Licensing, Consent and Waiver Form
    • create and submit a video message, individually or in groups, in accordance with the applicable conditions

If more than one person appears in a video, only the person who submitted the entry form will be considered a participant in the Contest.

Only one entry per person will be retained for the draws, i.e. the first eligible entry received, regardless of the number of videos submitted.

    5. Entry validity criteria

Videos submitted must adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Do not infringe on any intellectual property rights of any third party, including any trademarks, copyrights and image rights of any person filmed.
    • Comply with the standards of the Government of Canada’s Directive on the Management of Communications and Federal Identity.

Canadian Heritage reserves the right to disqualify any entry found to be non-compliant or otherwise ineligible.

    6. Drawing and designation of winners

Each prize will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

Draws will be held twice during the Contest:

    • July 16, 2026
    • February 16, 2027

Once an entrant accepts a prize, they become ineligible for any subsequent draw.

After each draw, the winners will be contacted by email at the address provided at the time of registration and must acknowledge receipt within 72 hours. If no response is received within this period, the Organizer will randomly draw a new winner for that prize from among the remaining eligible entries, and this process will be repeated as needed until the prize is awarded. If the winner declines the prize, the Organizer will draw a new winner for that prize.

The winner will then have seven days to provide the necessary information to confirm compliance with the applicable conditions and accept the prize as awarded. If the conditions are not met within this time frame, the Organizer will randomly draw a new winner for that prize from among the remaining eligible entries, and this process will be repeated as needed until the prize is awarded. If the winner does not provide the requested information to confirm eligibility within the time limit, or is deemed ineligible by the Organizer, the Organizer will randomly draw a new winner for that prize.

Winners’ names will be posted on the Government of Canada website following each draw once all prizes have been confirmed.
