About Christmas Lights Across Canada

Christmas Lights Across Canada was introduced in 1985 to highlight monuments and sites along Confederation Boulevard in Canada's Capital Region. Thousands of dazzling holiday lights showcase Parliament Hill, national museums, embassies and other significant sites.

An event is held in early December to launch the program as well as the multimedia show that is projected on the Centre Block.

All Canadians can enjoy the Christmas Lights Across Canada as capital cities of each province and territory have their unique way of celebrating during this festive time.

The Christmas Lights Across Canada program symbolically links Canadians and offers a great way for all to get into the holiday spirit!
