So what is antisemitism?
According to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's definition of antisemitism which has been adopted by 43 countries including Canada, "antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews."

Here are some examples of the antisemitism we're seeing every day across this country.
Dehumanizing or making stereotypical allegations about Jews – you know the ones I'm talking about – that Jews control the media or the economy. This, of course, is not true.
Also, we're seeing a lot of the denial of the scope of the Holocaust or accusing Jews or Israel of inventing or exaggerating it. And, indeed, while the horrors of the Holocaust are often too difficult to comprehend, it happened. It happened, regardless of what Holocaust deniers may say.
And here in Canada, let's not forget the old dual loyalty trope – accusing Jews of being more loyal to Israel than to Canada.
Jews have been in this country since the 1700's and continue to contribute to all aspects of our society. So, I encourage you to take the time to learn more about antisemitism from credible sources.
