Polar Bear Challenge

Description

The Polar Bear Challenge will take place in Gatineau for the second time on Saturday, February 14, 2026! During this event, many participants, including police officers and civilian employees of the SPVG, as well as members of partner organizations will brave the icy waters of Leamy Lake in support of Special Olympics Québec! This unique fundraising activity is organized by the police officers involved in the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and all proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Québec. Every dollar raised during this event will help fund Special Olympics Québec programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities, where social inclusion is fostered through sport, health, and community.
