Description

Experience the premiere of Qikiqtait: Where Inuit Knowledge and Innovation Come Together, a first-of-its-kind exhibition that celebrates decades of exceptional work by Inuit from Sanikiluaq on the Belcher Islands. The exhibition highlights their leadership in research, education and environmental stewardship. Developed by the Arctic Eider Society, in partnership with the Canadian Museum of Nature, the exhibition shares the ongoing work of the Sanikiluarmiut (people of Sanikiluaq) as they care for their homeland. Rooted in the harvesting of eider down—known as the warmest feather in the world—their story unfolds through groundbreaking research, innovative technology designed to support Inuit priorities, and an award-winning film. Be inspired by a community’s enduring commitment to the land, the sea and each other. The exhibition was produced in partnership with Polar Knowledge Canada.
