For the 48th edition of Winterlude, students are invited to the very first edition of the Afterslide Evenings—two special evenings programmed especially for teenagers and young adults. Organized in collaboration with Igloofête and the Commission jeunesse de Gatineau, these evenings will offer a festive and safe winter atmosphere, carried by electrifying energy. Come and discover the Snowflake Kingdom in the evening (psst, we’re keeping the park open until 10 p.m. on these evenings!) and immerse yourself in a unique atmosphere with DJ performances, an illuminated Ferris wheel, tube sliding, a 360° camera and much more! Dancers from the Rhythm Waves Dance School will be on hand to set the mood, give performances, and get you moving. Special prices, as well as free coffee and hot chocolate from Tim Hortons and soup offered by AdoGatineau round out the experience. Bonus: exclusive souvenirs for the first 200 participants, as well as a competition for the best winter retro outfit, with prizes to be won! Access to the site and all activities is free. How to get to the site? There will be a park-and-ride available at Robert Guertin Centre, Gatineau. Hop on the shuttle to arrive directly to the site. This shuttle service will run exceptionally until 10 p.m. on February 6 and 7, 2026. Drop-off is also available at the front of the entrance; however, there is no parking available on site. Alternatively, you can use public transportation via STO bus routes 31 and 67, which connect Ottawa and Gatineau.
