Avec courage, il a donné une voix aux peuples autochtones, révélant des vérités cruciales, trop longtemps réduites au silence, pour avancer vers la réconciliation. Sa sagesse a tracé un chemin empreint d’espoir et de compréhension sur lequel nous devons continuer notre quête de la vérité, ici en Ontario et au Canada.

As the Crown’s representative in Ontario, I offer my sincere condolences to the Honourable Murray Sinclair’s family and loved ones. Mr. Sinclair leaves an indelible legacy. By amplifying Indigenous voices that had long been neglected or silenced, he helped uncover the difficult truth whose acknowledgment makes reconciliation possible. With his own voice, wise and inspiring, he set out pathways towards understanding and hope. May Ontarians, and all Canadians, honour him by walking them together.

Thank you for holding Canada accountable for its mistreatment of Indigenous peoples and giving us the tools to continue on our path to justice.

What an enormous loss for the nation and all who Murray Sinclair touched with his courage, wisdom and activism. I had the privilege of hearing him speak at the TRC in Vancouver and was deeply impacted.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." Thank you for the light you shone with, and the love you brought to, the critical work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. These are historic and lasting gifts and legacies. Very deepest condolences to all of the family, friends, and colleagues.

To the Honourable Murray Sinclair, I thank you for your important work to build a better future for Canada. Your legacy as a tireless advocate for justice and reconciliation have left an indelible mark across the nations of this country as we continue the journey towards healing. My sincere condolences to your family and friends.

Thank you for being an unwavering champion to underrepresented Canadians, most especially Indigenous Peoples. Your work and spirit will continue to live on for many years to come.

Farewell to a fine man who inspired a generation of healing and empowerment.

My condolences go out to Mr Murray Sinclair's family. His work has inspired me to continue climbing.

The Interim Report said in its last paragraph. " Anyone who wants to do something about Reconciliation, you don't have to wait till the final reports come out." I was inspired by that to begin Circles for Reconciliation, now in 6 provinces.
Murray was my inspiration.! I heard his voice. My condolences!

The arc of time is long and bends toward justice.

Your courage and commitment to advance reconciliation in Canada will have have lasting impacts for generations to come. We appreciate you forging the path and I promise to continue the work. My heartfelt condolences to the family and nation on the loss of Senator Sinclair. His dedicated work to move the pendulum on indigenous rights and recognition cannot be understated. The entire nation will forever be stronger for having to begin to face the reality of our shared history and begin to work toward a true partnership between the first people's of what is now called Canada and it's uninvited settler inhabitants. Murray Sinclair's legacy is just the beginning.

The Honourable Murray Sinclair has left a profound legacy and an indelible mark on our country. My thoughts are with the family as you celebrate his life and Mourn the passing of this great man.

Murray Sinclair listened to our history with our adopted Cree son with great compassion and understanding. We were greatful for his kindness.

We look up to the sky and send our love to him in his Spirit Journey with our full hearts that he be carried well and with the other Great Spirits . He is in our hearts and always remembered.
