This year, the Daytime Ceremony will start with an Indigenous Reflection which has been co-developed with Indigenous peoples. Throughout the ceremony, Canadian artists will light up the stage including Chantal Kreviazuk, DJ Shub, Lisa LeBlanc, Tenille Townes, Boogat, Sarahmée, Riit, Sebastian Gaskin, Josiane Comeau, Kellie Loder and Gurdeep Pandher. Unlike the traditional oil-based paper technique, the paint used for this experience is water-based and non-toxic.
