A Message from the Commissioner on the launch of the public online survey
June 16, 2025
I am pleased to announce that the Future of Sport in Canada Commission has launched a public online survey and invites all Canadians to share their experiences in, and perspectives regarding the Canadian sport system.
This survey is an important part of our mandate to gather input that will help shape the future of sport in Canada. The survey will remain open until the publication of the Preliminary Report in late August 2025.
By participating in the survey, you have a valuable opportunity to contribute your views on how to improve safe sport in Canada and strengthen the sport system as a whole. Your responses will be aggregated and together will contribute to a national effort to build a safer, more inclusive, and more accountable sport environment for all Canadians.
The survey is organized into two parts: the first focuses on safe sport, and the second explores the broader Canadian sport system.
Now that the survey has been launched, the Commission has closed access to the Write to the Commission and Speak with the Commission participation options of its public online submission portal. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have come forward to share their insights and perspectives on safe sport and the sport system in Canada.
In the coming months, the Commission will focus on the next steps in its work, including the publication of the Preliminary Report in late August 2025 and the hosting of the National Summit on the Future of Sport in September 2025.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and perspectives. Your input is essential to advancing a safe and thriving sport environment across Canada.
