Located in the northern part of Jacques-Cartier Park, the official Winterlude site in Gatineau offers free, outdoor, family-friendly winter activities, as well as attractions and events for visitors of all ages.

Snowflake Kingdom — map descriptive text

Snowflake Kingdom is located in Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau, bordered by Laurier Street to the south and Rue Laurier / Rue Dussault along the park edge. Primary pedestrian access to the site is from the south-west corner of the park, north of Laurier Street and the Macdonald–Cartier Bridge. The following features are available within the site:

  • First Aid — Located on the west side of the park, near the intersection of Laurier Street and Rue Dussault.
  • Information Kiosk — Located on the central west side of the park, near Laurier Street, serving as a central point for visitor assistance.
  • Lost Children — Located on the central west side of the park, near Laurier Street.
  • Breastfeeding Area — Located in a quiet area on the central west side of the park, near Laurier Street.
  • Diaper Changing Area — Located on the central west side of the park, near Laurier Street, close to family services.
  • Bike and Stroller Parking — Located near the south-west access point to the park, north of Laurier Street and the Macdonald–Cartier Bridge.
  • Ferris Wheel — Located in the central area of Snowflake Kingdom, visible from multiple locations within the park.
  • Chinook Slide — Located on the east side of the park, near the primary sliding zone.
  • Mini Slide — Located near the children’s activity area, close to the central portion of the site.
  • Maze — Located near the middle of the park, close to other family-friendly activities.
  • Blizzard Obstacle Course — Located on the east side of the park, near other large-scale activity areas.
  • La Brise Obstacle Course — Located near the main activity zone, east of the central services area.
  • Ice Hogs — Located near the central play area, close to other interactive winter activities.
  • Ice Dig — Located near the children’s activity zone, close to the central area of the site.
  • Snow Sculpture — Located along a pedestrian pathway, near the central portion of Snowflake Kingdom.
  • Ice Mosaic — Located near the arts and culture area, within the central zone of the park.
  • Giant Game — Located near the central gathering space.
  • Kids Zone — Located near the central area of the park, designed for younger visitors.
  • Winter Games Area — Located in an open space near the middle of the site, adjacent to other activity zones.
  • Tug of War — Located in a designated activity area, near the central portion of Snowflake Kingdom.
  • Lacrosse Activity — Located in an open activity area, on the east side of the park.
  • Shelter — Located near the central services area, providing a place to rest and warm up.
  • Chill Zone — Located near food concessions, close to the central area of the site.
  • Food Concessions — Located throughout the site, primarily near central gathering areas and major activity zones.
  • Sno-Bus Stop — Located along the park perimeter, adjacent to Laurier Street, with signed pedestrian access into Snowflake Kingdom.
