For all sites in Ottawa and Gatineau
Flag and promotional items distributor
- Hand out Canadian flags or promotional items to the general public.
- Collect and recycle empty boxes.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English-French).
Information Officer
- Inform visitors about Canada Day activities.
- Bilingualism is required (English-French).
Green Team
- Fill water bottles belonging to members of the public.
- Assist with the bicycle parking.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English-French).
Host
- Greet artists, other guests and caterer (if applicable).
- Control access to the reserved area.
- Offer refreshments and keep the premises tidy.
- Bilingualism is required (English-French).
Activity Assistant
- Assist the activity coordinator in preparing the activities.
- Ensure the smooth running of activities and, if necessary, assist participants.
- Assist in line-up control.
- Ensure that the activity area is clean and safe.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English-French).

Assistant to people with special needs
- Greet people with special needs.
- Control access to the reserved area.

Place des Festivals Zibi (Gatineau)
Lost children attendant
- Patrol the site in search of a missing person (parent or child).
- Follow procedures.
- Bilingualism is required (English-French).

As a volunteer of the Department of Canadian Heritage, you must be fully vaccinated to volunteer. You will need to attest to your vaccination status in Section 2 of the volunteer application form by affixing your initials and signing the form. Please note that a proof of vaccination could be required to access your volunteer site.
