The sites

At all sites in Ottawa and Gatineau

Flag and promotional items distributor

  • Hand out Canadian flags or promotional items to the general public
  • Collect and recycle empty boxes

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset

Information officer

  • Inform visitors about Canada Day activities

Must be bilingual (English and French).

Water station assistant

  • Fill water bottles belonging to members of the public

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset

Host

  • Greet artists and other guests on site
  • Offer refreshments and keep the room in good order
  • Greet the caterer
  • Control access to the designated area

Major’s Hill Park (Ottawa)

Activity assistant

  • Help participants take part in games (for example: obstacle courses, crafts, games)
  • Help the coordinator with activity preparation
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the activity
  • Ensure safety within the area
  • Help people line up for an activity

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

Must be polite, courteous and friendly.

Parliament Hill (Ottawa)

Special needs assistant

  • Greet people with special needs
  • Control access to the designated area

Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau)

Activity assistant

  • Help participants take part in games (for example: obstacle courses, crafts, games)

  • Patrol the site in search of parent or child according to the description
