A message from the Commissioner on the Final Report

As the Future of Sport in Canada Commission moves forward in the final stage of its work, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has engaged with us throughout this important and unprecedented process.

Over the past year and more, we have heard from thousands of individuals and groups from across this country, including athletes, parents, coaches, administrators, officials, academics, advocates, victims and survivors of maltreatment, and many others in the sport community. The Commission has been privileged to learn from your experiences, perspectives, and ideas on how to build a sport system that is safer, more inclusive, and more accountable.

The Commission is now finalizing its Final Report, which will present a comprehensive set of findings and recommendations informed by the full range of views gathered throughout this process. The Final Report will be published in late March 2026, and we look forward to sharing it with Canadians at that time.

It is my hope that the Final Report will serve as a meaningful and constructive foundation for change, and that together we can continue to advance a sport system that reflects Canadian values and ensures safe, equal opportunities for all participants.
