Natasha Kim

Natasha Kim was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of National Defence, effective June 12, 2023.

Prior to this, she was the Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Policy Branch at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), and Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic and Program Policy at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). She also had the privilege of being departmental champion for diversity and inclusion during her time in each organization.

Earlier in her career, Natasha also held various positions at the Privy Council Office, Public Safety Canada, Justice Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Natasha holds a Master of Laws from Harvard University, a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University and majored in Women's Studies at the University of Alberta.

Natasha, who grew up on the Prairies and studied in the Atlantic, now lives in Quebec and works in Ontario, greatly appreciating the rich diversity of our country and the privilege of working in the public service. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner, son, two dogs and cat.
