Transcript

Construction of an $88-million facility for The Royal Canadian Dragoons is taking shape at Base Petawawa.

The new building will bring together logistics, maintenance, and transportation teams from seven locations, increasing collaboration and efficiency.

It will feature: office and storage space, loading bays, classrooms, conference rooms, a vehicle training simulator, and a 30-vehicle maintenance bay for the Regiment’s LAV 6.0s and TAPVs.

Designed with a focus on environmental responsibility, the facility will generate fewer greenhouse gas emissions, and save about $4.6 million in operating costs over 40 years.

The Dragoons will call their modern, green and functional workplace home in fall 2021.
