The Defence Lessons Learned System is now live

February 1st, 2022 - Defence Stories

The Defence Lessons Learned System (DLLS) is now live and available to all employees within the Materiel Group.

The DLLS is a department-wide web application which provides a centralized repository to collect, store, and share lessons learned. It also facilitates the approval process for observations and Lessons Finding Reports to support change management and implementation of best practices.

DLLS access is intended for all DND employees – both civilian and military. Anyone with access to the DWAN can create an observation or search DLLS records.

If you wish to obtain elevated privileges in DLLS to publish observations and initiate Lessons Finding Reports on behalf of your division, you must be nominated by your L2 Knowledge Management Representative as a Lessons Learned Coordinator and sign an agreement.

For further information, please visit the DLLS intranet site (accessible only on the National Defence network). You can also contact the Knowledge Management Team if you have any questions about the DLLS or if you want to submit a request for a demo of the system.
