Across Canada, standardized job descriptions (SJDs) (accessible only on the National Defence network) have been used more and more over the years. SJDs are the new norm to ensure fairness and transparency across all departments, to comply with Treasury Board policy and to simplify classification. But what is the difference between SJDs and job descriptions (JDs)?
