Are you new to the Public Service? Looking for information on your dental care plan?

The Public Service Dental Care Plan (PSDCP) is mandatory. It covers specific dental services and supplies that are not covered under a provincial or territorial health or dental plan. After three months of continuous employment, eligible employees are automatically enrolled.

The plan is administered by the Canada Life (you are now leaving the Government of Canada website). To submit a claim, you must register as a plan member using your certificate number, which you can find in the Phoenix pay system (accessible only on the National Defence network). Go to the Self-Service section > Benefits > Benefits Summary.

If you become a member under the PSAC or the National Joint Council, Canada Life will issue you an identity card that shows the effective date of your coverage, as well as your plan and certificate numbers.

You can submit claims electronically through Canada Life’s GroupNet (you are now leaving the Government of Canada website) within 15 months of the date when the expense was incurred. You can also download the app to submit dental claims at your fingertips!

For more information, read the Public Service Dental Care Plan member booklet.

For questions about your benefits, contact HR Connect RH online (accessible only on the National Defence network) or by calling 1-833-747-6363 (for Defence Team use only).
