Women in STEM Mental Fitness Lunch and Learn program

August 29, 2022 - Defence Stories

The last two years have brought on personal and professional challenges for many members of the Defence Team. We have had to change the way we work, learn, interact with friends and colleagues, and support our families. Any change of this magnitude can take a toll on our health and wellness, on our relationships, and on our performance at work.

The Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Fitness Lunch and Learn program is focused on strengthening your capacity to respond to life’s challenges with a positive mindset.

Over the course of seven sessions, you will learn how to strengthen your positive mental muscles while decreasing the influence and the impact negative thought processes have on your work performance, well-being and relationships.

Each month, you will participate in a virtual lunch and learn session. You will also be given an opportunity to reinforce your learning through individual exercises you can complete on your own time, and through voluntary participation in smaller group discussions between the formal sessions.
