Upcoming event - Women’s History Month: Women who lead, and inspire!
October 18, 2022 - Defence Stories
All Department of National Defence (DND) employees are invited to attend the panel discussion, Women Who Lead, to mark the 30th anniversary of Women’s History Month. Cindy Termorshuizen, Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, will host an interactive discussion with her counterparts from various departments, including Stephanie Beck, Associate Deputy Minister of National Defence, on the leadership roles of women in public service. These women leaders will share their personal stories and advice in an engaging dialogue on celebrating the achievements of women and on the progress needed to achieve gender equality.
The event will be moderated by Sandra McCardell, Assistant Deputy Minister, Europe, Arctic, Middle East and Maghreb and GAC’s Champion for Women, and include the following guests:
- Stefanie Beck, Associate Deputy Minister of National Defence
- Mala Khanna, Associate Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage

Everyone has an important role to play in promoting gender equality to ensure that people of all genders have equal rights and opportunities. We look forward to seeing you there!
