Isaac Gelber fined $25,500 for environmental violations

Québec, Québec – August 4, 2017  – Environment and Climate Change Canada

Canadians value clean water and a sustainable environment. Environment and Climate Change Canada’s enforcement officers work to protect our environment through the enforcement of federal environmental laws.

On August 1, 2017, Mr. Isaac Gelber pleaded guilty to three charges, and he was fined $25,500 for violating the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999.

The investigation, led by Environment and Climate Change Canada, showed that Mr. Isaac Gelber had committed several violations to the Act, namely

The amount of the fine will be directed to Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Environmental Damages Fund.
