Public Service Management Advisory Committee

PSMAC provides strategic advice on public service management and on the implementation of initiatives led by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. These initiatives could relate to how spending, finances and people are managed.

PSMAC also:

• helps shape plans for management in the public service by, for example, identifying new issues and by reviewing policies and strategies before they are submitted to the Treasury Board for approval
• discusses matters that have been referred by the Board of Management and Renewal
• provides advice to central agencies and the deputy minister community
• evaluates progress on implementing the public service management agenda

PSMAC members work together on different management initiatives that impact all organizations across the public sector, such as the return of employees to the workplace after the COVID-19 pandemic.
