Consultation on the tax filing experiences of sole proprietors

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) understands from Canadians that we need to make changes to the way we deliver services. In an effort to improve service to small business owners in Canada, and in keeping with our people first approach, the CRA held consultations to learn about the tax filing experiences of sole proprietors in November 2023.
What we are learning
Our goal was to better understand the steps and challenges sole proprietors face during the tax filing process, and to identify improvements and implement solutions.
The CRA will share the results of the consultation once they become available and will inform Canadians how the input will be used.
