Passport Client Experience Survey for passports issued in 2020

Ottawa, March 15, 2021—You may be invited to take part in a client experience survey if the Government of Canada issued you a passport in 2020. If you applied for a passport in Canada, you may get a telephone call or an insert with your new passport inviting you to participate. If you applied for a passport outside Canada, you may receive an invitation with your new passport.

About the survey

We understand that your need for passport services may have been very different this past year due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. More so than ever, we would appreciate your feedback to help us improve our services. To facilitate this process, the Government of Canada is collecting feedback from randomly selected clients who received a passport in 2020.

From March to May 2021, you may receive a telephone call asking you to take part in a survey about your experience with the Passport Program to see if our services met your expectations. Alternatively, you may receive an invitation with your new passport that allows you to take the survey online. The survey is being conducted by the research firm Advanis.

Completing the survey is voluntary. Your participation will be kept confidential. What you tell us won’t affect any past, current or future passport application.

The results of the survey will help us identify emerging trends and issues that you and other clients face and allow us to improve your experience.
