Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services

Represents the riding of St. Boniface—St. Vital

Ginette Lavack, Member of Parliament for St. Boniface—St. Vital, was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services on June 5, 2025. A proud member of the Franco-Manitoban community, Lavack brings decades of experience in cultural leadership, community engagement, and public service.

As Parliamentary Secretary, she brings a wealth of experience in cultural advocacy, regional development, and community-led governance. She continues to promote reconciliation, Indigenous services, and the revitalization of language and culture across Canada.

Before entering politics, Lavack served as Chief Executive Officer of the Centre culturel franco-manitobain from 2017 to 2025, where she championed cultural growth, inclusivity, and economic vitality. From 2010 to 2017, she was Executive Director of Festival du Voyageur, western Canada’s largest winter festival, strengthening ties across Manitoba’s diverse communities.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology from Université de Saint-Boniface and is a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Winnipeg.

She was elected to Parliament in April 2025, focusing on advancing Indigenous partnerships, supporting arts and heritage, and promoting inclusive policy development.
