Represents the riding of Eglinton—Lawrence
Vince Gasparro, Member of Parliament for Eglinton–Lawrence and Parliamentary Secretary (Combatting Crime), was born and raised in Toronto and proudly calls his constituency home. He was elected on April 28, 2025.
For over 20 years, Mr. Gasparro has dedicated his career to building a better future for both his community and country, bringing extensive experience in finance and government through a wide range of executive roles. As the Head of Sustainable Finance at Scotiabank’s Roynat Capital and Vancity – Canada’s largest Credit Union – he helped finance large critical clean energy infrastructure projects across Canada.
In addition to his work in finance, Mr. Gasparro served as Principal Secretary to Toronto Mayor John Tory and as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Paul Martin. He has also served on the boards of directors of the Canada Infrastructure Bank, Postmedia Network (TSX:PNC.A), World Wildlife Fund Canada, and Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC).
Environmental action has been central to Mr. Gasparro’s work. He represented Canada at the United Nations climate conferences, attending COP26 in the UK, COP27 in Egypt, and COP28 in the UAE.
Mr. Gasparro holds a B.A. (Hons) from York University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an Executive MBA from Villanova University.
