Organizational structure of the Canadian Grain Commission
The Canadian Grain Commission regulates grain handling in Canada and establishes and maintains science-based standards of quality for Canadian grain. Our research, programs and services help support Canada’s reputation as a consistent and reliable source of high-quality grain.
The Canadian Grain Commission is led by a team of 3 commissioners:
The commissioners set the organization’s direction, establish policy, and administer and enforce the Canada Grain Act. A commissioner also chairs the Eastern Standards Committee and the Western Standards Committee. The commissioners report to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
The Chief Operating Officer heads the Canadian Grain Commission’s operations and reports to the Chief Commissioner.
